All about insects

I found this work interesting  because I learnt a lot about insects and that some insect are different then others and that some butter flies are stinging ones and some are poisonous.My next step is to learn a little more about insects so it can be more interesting and a little more curious.I thought that was fun and I wish I could do that again.
                                                                               

Roald Dahl - Little Red Riding Hood Character Comparison

I was learning about Roald Dahl books because on 13th September it was Roald Dahl Day.  We watched the poem Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf.  It was weird because she had a gun and killed the wolf.  It was different to the original.  I liked the original version better.

I was learning to do some Diamante  poems and this photo is a Diamante  poem that i did.
I found this tricky  because we had to have some ideas to make a diamante poem and it was hard to get ideas.  next time I could use a little bit more ideas to make it more intresting.

Netball certificate

 This year I joined the netball team because I thought that it was going to be fun and it did turn out fun and Mrs Graham took us to the netball sometimes she didn't come because she was doing work so we went in the van.                                                                        

Place Value Partitioning

Reflection :

I have been learning how to solve addition problems by using place value blocks.  The parts I find tricky are adding without these blocks.  I need to use the hundreds chart to help me add in 10's because I find this hard.  I need to practise my basic facts.

My Volcano Landscape Art

We have been learning how to apply paint.  We learnt two techniques,dabbing with a sponge 

and dragging with a sponge and dragging with cardboard.  One thing I enjoyed was doing the grass because it was fun to make patterns using the card. 

My Speech - Bullying

My Reflection
We have been learning to write an effective speech. I found this tricky because you had to write a lot of words and I had no ideas.  I used some websites to help me get ideas.  My next step is to maybe have a little more enthusiasm in my speech.

Fractions

I was learning to understand the parts of a fraction.  It was frustrating because I got mixed up because I had to say quarters thirds and halves.  I like what mrs p taught us what fractions are and what a fraction is a part of.  Next time I could actually learn more about what a fraction can be.

My popplet reflection

I have been learning to summarise and record my research in my own words.I found summarising the information in our own word was hard because something I learnt was tsunamis are big and can kill people.My next step is to concentrate and do more and make sure its finished.

Pepeha art

 This is my pepeha art that i made.It is the maori tradition.

It was excellent because we had to die our work

and paint but first we had to draw first and then

do it over vivid and the pick our color.

Understanding a Character's Impact

I was learning to understand the impact of characters in a story.  One thing that worked for me was that I didn't make any mistakes in my work.  Next time I could actually ask for help if I get stuck.

Show Don't Tell

I was learning was learning how to use the Show Don't Tell strategy.  I found this a little bit hard.  The hard part was when I kept making a lot of mistakes because I found it hard to concentrate.  Overall I think the writing was interesting and fun.

                                        I am learning to write about what our special place is.My special place                                         is the pool because I think the pool is a comfortable place to swim and                                          have fun with your friends when you are board.

This is my name Art.  We used worm and cold colours to stand out the name.

Comparing Characters

This is my Venn diagram.  I did it on an ipad. It's for a story called Bridge to Terabithia. We were seeing what's the same and what's not with two people from the story. It was fun and hard a bit.  I did it with a buddy.  It was hard to remember what I had heard in the story so I did it with a buddy.

I was learning that numbers can be made and broken up in a number

of different ways.I found it interesting because you had to do numbers.My next step is to make and break up to thirty.

My Reflection

I was learning how to write a did you ever poeam.

I thought that  I did all right because it was my first  time trying something new.It was was fun.

I think maybe next time I need to ask for help more ofttend if I get stuck.

I felt a little confused because I had no idea what a verb were.
